I don't know how we got here so quickly, but it is 2020 guys!! I always start the year off writing down 30 goals. No, I do not mean resolutions, I mean goals. Some seem so easy it is silly and others seem so impossible that i have to pray about it before actually writing it down.
2019 was completed with so many ups and downs, mostly full of joy. So getting this blog up and running is just the perfect way to start off the year.
Cleaning Up After Myself
I am the absolute worst about cleaning right after I do something, especially my dishes. I am so sick of watching the dishes just pile up and then taking a too long to catch up. Cleaning up as I go will help me optimize time management and help keep my home & office clean!
Make my Bed EVERY Morning!
I have been doing this pretty regularly the past month and it has really helped me get my morning going and sets me up for a productive day.
Becoming a Morning Person
I have always been more of a night owl, or maybe just an exhausted pigeon. I hate wasting half of the day away trying to become more awake just to do little things. So I have been looking up new ways to become more of a morning person. We will see how it goes.
Traveling more!
In 2019 the most traveling I did was going to Texas a few times to see family. I hated that I really didn't get to travel and see more last year. So with all the plans that Bryar and I have in 2020. I am so excited to travel more. Possibly even out of the country?!
Better Time Management!
This past year was the first year that I was working from home full time, and I truly feel like I didn't get to accomplish anything because I couldn't handle the Time management part of the job. It caused me to cut into family time with work. Which to me was the worst part, and for Bryar.
Meditation
I love that meditation means different things for different people. For some it is literally meditating, as in legs crossed eyes closed humming. Others it's taking half an hour or so contemplating their day and knowing that they will have, willing it to be a positive day. For many that I know they meditate over the bible. Making it as positive as possible full of the Lord. I am hoping to make meditating my own. Only 2020 will know what that looks like for me.
Learn a new language!
We will probably learn French, I have always loved it and Brya r wants to learn. I think knowing different languages is important. Especially when you want to travel. There is no reason that someone should have to speak my tongue where they call home. It has bothered me knowing people that feel the rest of the world should know how to speak English when we cant speak their native tongue! That and you just never know who you'll meet so learning a new language is perfect to me!
Learn something new every month.
I have learned over the past few years that we should be working towards what you want because that's what the difference is between goals and dreams. So I plan on learning something every month that pushes me to reach my goals and the future that I have envisioned for my family.
Community
I had spent a few years creating a life where I was involved in the community and I loved being able to be apart of it. Doing as much good as I can for the Community that I lived in. After moving that was over so now I am ready to get started in the community that we live in now.
Gratitude
I am obsessed with some of the things Rachel Hollis has done. Now I am determined to start off the year with a gratitude journal. So I want to get better about filling the year full of gratitude.
