2019 Recap

Writer: Dustye Beecher Dustye Beecher

Yet another year has come to an end! How do the years keep feeling and shorter?! This past year had SO many ups and downs for me so I’m really excited for this new year/decade.

But before we get through everything with the new year! Go over everything that happened, the good, the bad, and the crazy!

January

January was definitely a fun month! My Bonus dad was home and we finally got to celebrate Christmas all together! I know it’s a little different having it in January, but my bonus dad works overseas and is only home for short periods at a time. I also reconnected with a guy that I knew in High school. (PS we get married)

February

Bryar and I went on our first date, it was definitely a whirlwind romance. We went from going to dinner just to catch up, deciding it was a date, to spending every weekend together in some way or another. I did my very first boudoir shoot that actually made me feel confident. It was a totally different experience! I loved it immensely!

March

Here is where we get extra fun!! Bryar and I got engaged! You read that right, after a month we got engaged! I spent the first two weeks of the month getting ready to move. I left a job I had been at for years. I packed up my apartment, my home for the past 4 or 5 years! Moved states and became an Okie.

April

We got to move into our first little rent house together! It was the first time in a while that I had a backyard and my little Paris LOVED it! We spent most of our time outside. Bryar and I got to start looking for a new home church. We didn’t find one that fit us.

May

In May our little family grew by 4more legs! That’s right we got another fur baby! One that wasn’t so little, Cash is our sweet sweet boy that was given to us by my parents because they were a little crammed in their camper.

June

We are a little sad at the beginning of June, I lost my sweet Paris. She had been sick for a while after getting hit by a car in Oct. 2018. I am thankful for the time that I had with her. We also got rid of my car, I wasn’t using it enough to justify the fact that we were paying for two different vehicles!

July

Bryar got sick! We have no idea what happened, There were symptoms of a stroke but nothing proving that’s what it was. We started seeing specialists and trying to figure out what was going on.

August

Kind of a slow month, full of Doctors and specialists. Bryar was on short term disability, staying home other than for our weekly doctor appointments. I also found out that I have PCOS along with Endometriosis. If you don’t know what that is, I will definitely be writing a post about what that is and what it means for me!

September

SURPRISE!!! We got pregnant!!! Keeping this quiet was so hard, we went to a friends wedding and not telling family or anyone just yet was so hard. But we lasted exactly 3 weeks of not telling!

October

Bryar went back to work! Not feeling 100% but getting better for sure. We told our family about Bug. The little nickname that we gave our bundle of joy. Our appointment confirmed the worst. We lost the baby. Lots of grief and wanting to just not do anything.

November

Well, well, It’s our thanksgiving and Christmas time. We had Family photos and lots of food! My emotional Breakdowns started slowing down. Just wishing I was announcing other things.

December

We do. we did, we eloped! It was earlier in the year but we didn’t tell family until a few months after and announced of social media in December! Christmas was really nice and hard all at the same time! New Years eve was perfect and just the two of us with Cash. We loved it!
